Pearls have been used by man for over 4000 years - the earliest written mention of natural pearls was recorded by a Chinese historian in 2206 BC.
In ancient Vedic texts, the pearl is born of Earth's waters and Heaven's powers, fertilised by a flash of lightening.

It's association with purity also make it popular in bridal jewellery.

Full description
Lightweight and sparkly earrings in shades of pink, purple and gold.
Each earring features a 5x8mm lilac freshwater button Pearl 6mm, a quality 6mm Austrian crystal flower bead in the colour 'light rose', a 5mm Tibetan flower beads with an antique gold finish, and a pair of sparkly 4mm quality Austrian crystal bicones in the colours 'fuchsia' and 'violet'.
The beads are highlighted with tiny 1.8mm gold vermeil spacers, are threaded onro gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold.
The Pearls have a gorgeous iridescent sheen, the crystals have a lovely sparkle and the gold adds warmth and shine.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon, UK, these would make a wonderful gift for a birthday, anniversary, bridesmaid, Mother's Day, or keep them as a treat for yourself.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3.5cm), excluding the ear-wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
