Garnet is the traditional birthstone for Capricorn and the month of January, and the stone for the second wedding anniversary.
The term Garnet actually applies to a group of minerals that are related in composition and structure, but differ in colour.
The dark red that we most associate with Garnet is known as Pyrope Garnet, like the nuggets I have used here.
The lighter, more raspberry pink of the bicones is known as Rhodolite Garnet.

Full description
These pretty pink red and silver earrings feature a trio of dark red pyrope Garnet nuggets topped with a 5mm, top quality, Austrian, 'powder rose' shell pearl and a 4.5mm AA rhodolite Garnet bicone, separated by 2.5mm sterling silver spacer beads.
The pyrope Garnet is a deeper, darker red than the raspberry-hued rhodolite beads.
The Austrian shell pearls are a complementary shade of dusky pink and have a lovely sheen.

The beads are threaded onto sterling silver pins and hung from sterling silver ear-wires that are stamped '925'.
Handmade in my workshop here in beautiful Devon, UK, these would make a lovely birthday, anniversary, mother's day or Valentine's gift - or keep them as a treat for yourself.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1 inch (2.5cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within mainland UK.
