Agate is a form of Chalcedony, part of the Quartz family, and gets its name from the River Achates, in Sicily, where it was first found.
It is one of the oldest known minerals, used by the ancient Sumerians and Egyptians for ornaments and amulets.
Green Aventurine, like most green stones, is thought to bring inner peace, tranquility and enhance self-esteem.
It is sometimes called the the Stone of Luck, or the Gambler's stone, as it is believed that carrying a piece of Aventurine in the left pocket will attract wealth and good fortune.

Full description
Drop earrings of 6mm natural green Aventurine, 4mm frosted Agate beads dyed in shades of green and yellow and quality Austrian crystal bicones in 'Citrine', 'topaz' and 'light topaz'.
The beads are threaded onto gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear-wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with 18k gold. and the wires are stamped '925'.
Fresh spring colours with plenty of sparkle.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, these would make a welcome alternative to chocolate for Easter, as a gift for a birthday, anniversary, or a treat for yourself.
These earrings measure approximately 1.25 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within mainland UK.
