I love to see the faces and reactions of the people visiting the circle for the first time - it's a mixture of awe, joy and bafflement! "What on earth is it for??" The stone circle is always a hugely popular place at significant spiritual times such as solstices and celestial phases. I just really wanted to capture and share the beauty and mystery of such a beloved lake district place.

Full description
History and mystery combined in a breathtaking lake district panaroma of the Helvelyn, Blencathra and Skidaww mountain ranges. Over 5000 years old ... and nobody knows quite why it is there. Is it a church? Is it market place? Nothing can quite describe the atmospheric feeling of standing near, or touching the circle ... but I've tried to capture it here, in my own vivid and quirkly way.
This is an A4 unframed print on semi-glossy premium art paper. I also offer this print framed and in A3 and A2 in my other listings. If you have any special requirements please do get in touch and I will try to accomodate all requests as best I can.
