Tiger's Eye is a type of quartz with a silky lustre and and flashes of chatoyancy.
Roman soldiers wore Tiger's Eye stones in battle, believing they gave alertness, clarity of mind and protection from harm.
It is still believed to enhance courage, confidence and self-esteem.
Mother of Pearl is the name given to the lining or nacre of mollusc shells, a unique combination of minerals secreted by molluscs that have a width similar to light waves, which gives the nacre an iridescent, shimmering sheen.
Mashan Jade, also known as Mountain Jade, is not Jade at all, but the trade name for Dolomite Marble.
It has a nice waxy sheen, and takes dye very well, so can be found in many colours.
These have been dyed to a very pale, delicate shade of peach which is complemented beautifully by the Tiger Eye, Mother of Pearl and copper.

Full description
Striking necklace featuring 6mm red Tiger Eye, set with trios of 3mm and 4mm, super sparkly, quality Austrian crystal bicones in a colour called 'light peach'.
The crystals are highlighted with 3mm copper beads which add warmth and shine.
The necklace graduates to 4mm beads of red Tiger Eye, pale peach Mashan Jade and white Mother of Pearl, embellished with 3mm copper spacers.
Red Tiger Eye has the same chatoyancy as yellow Tiger Eye, but is a rich, dark, red-brown colour, enhanced here by the sparkle of crystal and the warmth of copper.
The Mashan Jade has a soft, waxy sheen and the Mother-of-Pearl shows iridescent glints when it catches the light.
The necklace fastens with a copper heart toggle clasp.
Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon, UK, this would make a lovely gift for a birthday, anniversary, bridesmaid, Valentine or Mother's Day or keep it as a treat for yourself.
This necklace measures approximately 16 inches (40.5cm), please contact me via the button below my shop banner if you require a different length.
