My art is all about slowing down and taking the time to really see the world around me. One of my art teachers once said that “most people look but very few actually take the time to see.” This has stuck with me and since the brain injury when I was forced to slow down I definitely see the world more now.
My collection of Scotland paintings try to capture the feeling of timelessness. The landscape there feels so old but also its still changing and growing with rivers carving away at their banks and the growing deer population slowly changing the shrub lands into moorlands.

Full description
The Scottish coastline is a very varied creature, from sandy beaches with rolling waves through to steep cliffs with crashing waters far below. This panoramic piece is all about the West Coast with the light dancing across the hillside as the grey clouds roll past.
