Growing up in rural Somerset trees held a fascination for me. Dad and I would either climb up them in the evening and wait for the foxes and badgers to come out or he would show me how to use them to find my way even after dark.
I don't think that I'm alone in seeing them as friends who were old when I was born and will hopefully still be standing proud long after I'm gone.
Look out for your local conservation group and spare some time to look after your old friends!

The perfect gift for any tree lover like me, wonderfully colourful, this woodland scene will brighten up any home even on a dark stormy day.
An afternoon stroll through the woods in October. Dry leaves crunching slightly underfoot, squirrels busily collecting nuts and a Red Kite calling overhead. A perfect way to leave the stresses of the day behind you.
Diminutions: Painting it's self is A4 size and framed it's 47 x 34.5cm (1805" x 13.5")
