Full description
When we imagine a cactus, this is the distinctive shape we usually think of, standing tall with its arms reaching up to the sun. These are known as Saguaro, or Carnegiea gigantea, and they can grow to be huge.
I needle felted this much smaller version using natural wool fibres and the pot is a real terracotta plant pot. There is also a young cactus peeking out the "soil". The tall Safuaro is in flower and has a crown of white blooms which are actually tiny dried flowers.
