Full description

4 February to 11 March 2025 inclusive.

Tuesday mornings from 10am to 12.

Registration closes 3 Feb at 12 noon.

Held in my studio in Low Valleyfield, Fife, this class is aimed at beginners.

You’ll be guided through a few different projects, learning as you go. Each project will develop your sewing skills and leave you confident and ready to sew independently.

We'll learn how to sew accurate seams, pin and cut out a pattern, sew in zips, make buttonholes on your machine, seam finishes and many other skills that will be useful throughout your sewing years.

Materials for the first 3 weeks are included in your class, but the last 2 projects are garments and will require you to purchase fabrics, the required haberdashery and the sewing pattern.

You will be given a list of supplies required for the final projects, along with suggested suppliers, when you book, to give you time to purchase what you'll need.

Each class, you are also asked to bring a basic sewing kit - details will be sent on booking but these items won't be very expensive and can easily be bought online.

Studio sewing machines are provided, but you are very welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you have one.
