Hello and welcome to my shop.
I've always loved making things and worked as a Graphic Designer for over twenty years. Nowadays I experiment with fabric, paints, embroidery, beads and collage. I particularly enjoy combining different materials and patterns to create colourful, unique mixed media pieces.

Full description
This hand sewn textile artwork of a folk bird and flower would make a lovely gift for Mothers Day or a bird lover.
I've used a soft, muted palette of pinks and purples for this artwork. There's a pretty strip of Indian embroidered trim at the base and I've used batik fabric as the background. The folk bird is made using cotton and batik fabrics and has been embellished with metallic embroidery threads, seed beads and tiny sequins. The pomegranate shape surrounding the bird and flower has been cut from canvas and painted gold.
The picture comes in a good quality double mount. Outer measurements 10 x 8 inches. Visible area 7x 5 inches.
