A very warm welcome to my collection of original artwork.
If you are buying artwork as a gift, I can gift wrap the painting and send it on to the recipient. Just send me the details at checkout.
Prior to posting, framed paintings will be covered with glassine paper before being carefully encased in a protective wrap. Wherever possible, I reuse internal wrapping materials I have collected. The painting will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing box. For unframed artworks, the paintings will be mailed in a reinforced, hard backed envelope.
(88) This is a one-off art work that is inspired by trips to the west coast of Scotland. The painting is called, 'The Machair', which is a fertile grassy stretch on the coast which provides a home for an abundance of wildflowers in the spring and summer months. This would make an ideal gift for any occasion.

Full description
This is an original framed Scottish landscape painting. It features the wildflowers of The Machair which hug the coastline of South Uist. The machair is always a colourful wonder to behold. I have used sweeping brushstrokes, sponges and knives to apply think layers of paint to evoke both the wildness of the area but also the fragility of the landscape. Some key features of this original work include:
