I love walking on the beach with my husband Martin and our elderly Jack Russel Gilbert. We visit all year round and there is beauty in every visit rain or shine, fog or even snow. I take lots (and LOTS) of pictures and they, along with my memories provide my inspiration for my work.
Cornwall isn't always sunny but there is as much beauty in the grey days as there is in the sunny ones.

Full description
Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture showing a representation of an imaginary Cornish beach on a grey and storm day. The sky is an ominous grey with clouds blowing along over dark cliffs and choppy seas. Can you spot the engine house on the cliff top?
This is a glazed picture in a wide, rough wooden frame. The picture uses a mixture of textiles, including lace, ribbon and nylon fabric. I use different sewing techniques, choosing to hand sew and machine sew using a variety of different threads to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill. There may be slight marks on the frames as they are not brand new.
