I love walking by the sea and enjoying the coast in all aspects. There is a nearby beach where agapanthus and other flowers grow and this inspired me to create this textile art.

Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture showing a bright representation of an imaginary Cornish beach viewed from the cliff top and looking through the flowers growing there.. The sky is blue with a some cloud, yet the sun is peeping through. The sea is a colourful blue.
If you can't get to the beach right at this moment, then this might help you to imagine and remember how glorious being on the coast can feel.
This is a glazed picture in a deep, burnished silver effect frame with a white mount. The picture uses a mixture of textiles, including sari material, lace and ribbon. I use different sewing techniques, choosing to hand sew, machine sew or both using a variety of different threads to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill. There may be slight marks on the frames as they are not brand new but I do try to select suitable frames and will highlight any defects in the pictures if I can.
