I love walking on the beach with my husband Martin and our elderly Jack Russel Gilbert. We visit all year round and there is beauty in every visit rain or shine, fog or even snow. I take lots (and LOTS) of pictures and they, along with my memories provide my inspiration for my work.
I can just imagine dipping my toes in the warm water and then relaxing in the sunshine, especially when the weather is inclement outside. Perhaps if it was a little cool I might sit inside my beach hut and make a cup of hot chocolate to warm me up.

Full description
Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture showing a bright representation of an imaginary Cornish beach. The sky is blue with a hint of cloud and the colourful beach huts are ready for their visitors. The sea is a vivid, sparkling blue and the golden sand has dancing white waves running up and down.
This is a glazed picture in a wide, light wood effect frame. The picture uses a mixture of textiles, including sari material, lace and golden ribbon. I use different sewing techniques, choosing to hand sew and machine sew using a variety of different threads to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill. There nay be slight marks on the frames as they are not brand new.
