Full description

This is the first of a series of ten prints (with a few related extras) that represent, or attempt to represent the energy of the Mahavidyas, visionary images of existence imagined as the ten aspects of the one Great Goddess of Manifestation.

The ten Mahavidyas (or "Great Wisdoms"), are an antidote to respectable, polite, human-centred, rational views of existence that tend to want to avoid the scary unknowns of the vast Universe.

They are conceived as uncontrollable, wild, powerful goddesses that care little for polite convention. Their only purpose is to awaken the individual to true awareness, stripped of all illusions and excuses - that is why they are so scary!

Kali is the primary manifestation of all existence, the silent source of all, the Endless Night of Space and Time, from which everything arises and all returns. All the other Mahavidya goddesses are aspects of Kali (whose name means "time").

Though conceived as powerful, independent females, the goddesses can just as easily be imagined as primal states of matter, elemental particles, Laws of the Universe.

On A3 308gm archive photo rag paper. Image size approx. 11x15.5 inches.

All prints are sent in postal tubes by "Special DeliveryInternational Signed for" to ensure safe and fast delivery.
