Tatted lace cross bookmark.
These beautiful tatted lace crosses are hand made using traditional tatting techniques and are tatted in cotton threads in a variety of colours, featuring a hand crafted Dorset button centre
Each tatted cross measure approximately 11cm ( 4 1/4 inches) in length not including the tassel.
Total length including tassel approximately 23cm (9 inches).
Tatted lace crosses can be made in different colours, please contact me to discuss a custom order.
What is tatting?
Tatting is a technique for handcrafting durable lace using a series of knots and loops. Traditionally it is made using a shuttle or large needle.
What is a Dorset button?
Dorset buttons are a handmade button that originated in Dorset, England and is now considered a heritage craft.
Dorset buttons dates back to 1600’s where the first buttons were made using sheep’s horn, fabric and threads.
