Full description
Handcrafted copper and colourful dichroic glass brooch. Could also be worn as a lighter shawl pin.
I began by making the dichroic glass cabachon. Cutting and layering shards of glass then kiln firing. Once heated to melting point the glass fuses together to create a natural domed organic shape, this process can take up to 8 hours. Once the glass was ready I made the setting using copper sheet, wire and a few white metal accents for contrast and gave the brooch an antiqued finish. Brooch back is a pin with safety closure.
Brooch measures approx 1.2 inches across widest part.
I handmake all my items to my own designs using quality materials bought in the UK.
Your brooch will be sent via Royal Mail 1st Class Post, wrapped in layers of tissue and presnted in an organza gift bag and gift boxed.
