Full description

A wolf pendant, howling at the full moon and harking back to a time when wolves roamed free through our magnificent landscape.

I recently purchased some rather bold and beautiful African turquoise beads (African turquoise is actually a type of jasper). Although each bead has a hole drilled through for stringing I knew that individually they would make the perfect backdrop. I have inserted silver wire through the hole to fill it (even though it is not visible). To compliment this stone, I have added a a white silky moonstone and dendritic opal cabochon. It makes for a truly beautiful combination.

Measuring approx 38mm x 29mm, this is a heavier weight piece, hallmarked by Sheffield Assay Office.

Supplied with an 18 inch sterling silver belcher chain. Please advise if different length preferred.

Making process:

Each piece I create is my own design and made using traditional jewellers tools; these include a jewellers saw to pierce out shapes, hand engravers, metal punches and hammers to create detail and texture, with a fair bit of soldering, filing, sanding and polishing. My finished work is oxidised to highlight the detail in each piece.

I started making jewellery in 2005 and my inspiration has remained constant over the years; a deep love of nature, wildlife, folklore and mythology; feeling connected to our ancient ancestors through the beautiful landscape of the British Isles and my love of history.

Thank you for visiting my Folksy shop.
