Full description
This original textile art piece is inspired by days gone by. I just love a bit of Victoriana and i like to collect vintage old pieces the worn the better. This little homage to that period has been deliberatley created to look aged and worn.
Made in unbleached cotton and hand painted and stained, gold foil layed on the heels to create the worn aged look. Rusted wire is used for the blade, eyelets and hook to hang from. Vintage style lace created to look a little stained is used for the trim and bows. I have handmade the miniature gifts and tiny skates that hang from the blade, alongside a rusty heart, bells and star.
A perfect festive ( if not all year around) statement piece.
