Birdy loved her trips to the library. Reading she exclaimed "is food for the soul".
This wonderfully quirky little bird is hand and machine stitched in unbleached cotton. Hand stained and painted to give an aged vintage feel. Gold leaf is dotted about her breast and on her head is a tiny metal crown. She carries her books on her back tied with jute so they don't fall off when she flys. She is mounted on a little wooden pull toy base with a costy bedding of dried moss,
A perfect little gift for a lover of quirky things, and fairytales. This piece will be lovingly wrapped.
Birdy measures: 15 x 12 cm approx.
