Full description
A handmade wooden pendant necklace using a beautifully grained oak and finished with a hard wax satin polish. The pendant is round and tapers in thickness towards the top. It’s small but chunky with a nice weight to it. The outer edges are rounded giving it a smooth feel. This piece really showcases the grain, maybe because it is a light colour, and there are some rays adding contrasting lines.
SIZE: The oval pendant is approximately 3.cm diameter and 1.1cm thick at the base gently tapering at the top.
The necklace is adjustable from around 30 - 80 cm using simple sterling silver crimp ends (the equivalent of sliding knots).
SHIPPING : FREE Royal Mail “Signed For” 1st Class. Signature required upon delivery.
PACKAGING : Presented in a Progress Crafts branded gift box made from unbleached and undyed recycled card (called hairy manilla which makes me chuckle). Posted in unbleached and undyed recycled card packaging or re-used packaging. All packaging is kept as minimal and as natural as possible.
WOOD SOURCE : This oak was donated by one of my friends who is much more skilled at woodwork than me and can make real things that require joints. I just keep it simple with pendants.
MATERIALS : The pendant is oak. The necklace is waxed black cotton. All the findings are Sterling Silver 925 : dropper peg, jump ring and crimp ends.
