I have made this merhare using traditional jewellery/metal craft techniques. Each one is unique, using my jewellers saw to pierce out shapes, soldering, hammering and adding detail using metal punches. The merhare holds a trident which for me signifies strength and protection. Set with a beautiful druzy stone, I have oxidised the piece to highlight detail.
Influenced by my love of the sea, folklore and mythology.
Made with copper, brass and nickel silver, I have added a coat of renaissance wax to help prevent tarnish. Please note that copper, brass and silver will tarnish over time. I recommend a little renaissance wax and a soft cloth when needed.
Height including base approx 128mm.
A decorative piece and not suitable for children.
