Full description
This pretty silver Scottish primrose hair pin would make a beautiful addition to a Scottish wedding. It would be a wonderful gift for bridesmaids or a gorgeous addition to a bride's hair.
The silver hair pin has been handmade by myself using traditional techniques and recycled sterling silver with a flower at the top. The centre of the flower has a touch of gold foil which has been applied using the traditional technique of Keum Boo.
Scottish primrose flowers are beautiful and are only found natively on the far North coast of Scotland where they live on the cliff edge. Ancient Scottish folk lore says that primroses help us ward off evil spirits and help us connect with fairies.
The primrose diameter is 13 mm and the total length of the hair pin in 78 mm. It has been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office and will be delivered gift wrapped. If you would like more that I have available then please get in contact to arrange for me to create more.
