This sterling silver necklace features a beautiful raw aquamarine gemstone, making it a meaningful gift for someone with a March birthday. As aquamarine is the birthstone for March, it is a thoughtful choice for a birthday and it also makes a lovely Mother’s Day gift, anniversary present or a treat for yourself, perfect for wearing on a beach holiday.
I have enhanced the organic shape of the aquamarine by setting it in thick, recycled sterling silver, with delicate claws securing the stone in place. The silver chain passes through a tube on the back of the pendant, creating a seamless look and you can choose your preferred chain length from the menu. The pendant setting measures 15mm wide.
Did you know that according to Greek and Roman folklore, aquamarine was believed to have fallen from a mermaid’s treasure chest? Neptune, the god of the sea, was said to have discovered the stones as they washed ashore, and they were thought to calm stormy seas and protect sailors on their voyages.
This necklace will be delivered beautifully gift-wrapped, making it ready for giving. If you are purchasing it as a present, a gift note with your message can be included upon request.
