Full description

Dorset buttons were hand made in the county from the mid 17th century until the mid 19th century and formed an important part of the local economy. They are still made today but not just for use as fastenings.

At this workshop you will be provided with all the materials necessary to begin creating simple, traditional Dorset Cross Wheel buttons and find out about their history.

No previous experience is necessary.

The workshop will be held on Saturday 12th October 2024 from 10.30 to 12.00 at The Old Chapel, 59 Main Road, Tolpuddle, Dorchester DT2 7ET.

All materials and refreshments included in cost.
