Hello! I am a freelance artist & illustrator, whose work is created using a mixture of chalk pastel, pencil and coloured pencil. Devon Landscape Art - a sea view:
This drawing is called 'The Healing Path' and I created it using chalk pastels and coloured pencils on toned paper. The beautiful landscape where this piece is set, is called Soar Mill Cove, in South Devon, UK. It is an area which is cared for by the National Trust and which my family loves to visit.
My aim with this drawing was to capture the beautiful light and atmosphere of a sunset over the distant ocean, during stormy weather...a palm tree blowing in the wind, the lusciousness of the land. The feeling of the place was simultaneously stormy, but with a deep, pervasive calm!
Measuring 28cm by 29.5cm, this original drawing can be signed on the front or the back (in pencil), whichever you prefer!
It will be sent tracked and signed for, wherever in the world it is possible! Shipping within the UK is free.
