I am a freelance artist & illustrator, whose work is created using a mixture of chalk pastel, pencil and coloured pencil. I sell Giclee Art prints, drawings, greeting cards, wrapping paper, stickers, ceramic ornaments and coasters, tote bags and wall calendars - all featuring my illustrations!

Full description
PLEASE NOTE: The reason I have chosen to put this piece into my 'Perfectly Imperfect' sale is because there is a small (barely noticeable) crease in the card (on the middle left side) and a little runkling on the paw of the cat, on the right hand side. This is because some of the (hand drawn by me) elements of this piece are collaged onto the card. Other than that, and overall, it is in tip top condition!

I used a mixture of chalk pastel, coloured pencil and then collaged those drawn elements together, to create this "Two of Hearts" surreal illustration.
The identical cats were inspired by my old cat, Bindu, who loved to stretch on the floor in this position!
There are many lovely details to be found in this piece, such as the ginger cat hills and the green hearts mirroring the leaves on the trees.
It measures 26.5 by 19cm. It can be signed by me on the back or the front, whichever you prefer!
This piece has an interesting history: it was my contribution to Amelia’s Magazine, which made a 2 of Hearts ‘Quilt’, made up of several card designs by different artists. It was for "The House of Cards" - an exhibition at the now closed Haunch of Venison Gallery in London and a limited edition set of playing cards, created to raise money for the charity “Shelter”.
Other artists and creatives who took part in the fundraiser exhibition included Damien Hirst, Mark Quinn and Vivienne Westwood, so it was in rather esteemed company!
