As a book lover myself I really wanted to try to create some unique bookmarks, I will never recreate one – mostly because I do not keep the technical information of them.
Each bookmark started as an idea of a pattern I wanted to try on a small scale and from colours I already have in my yarn collection. This does mean that not all of them have lambswool in the weft, but the warp always will be.

Full description
Handwoven fringed bookmark made with a high quality ecru lambswool warp and the ecru also used as the weft, alternating with lurex -a sparkly plastic yarn- and a winding insert of a wool mix yarn which adds some pink and grey. The lurex is not easy to see in the photographs, but in person the sparkles can be seen, especially when the fabric is moved.
A bit thicker than a standard card bookmark, but lovely and soft with a bit of texture.
