Full description
I thoroughly enjoyed making this quilted throw from hundreds of pieces of 100% cotton fabrics. The throw is backed with a lively, heart warming print - many of the water-colour swatches have words of mindfulness and encouragement such as 'grace', 'hope', 'patience', 'tenderness', 'letting go' and 'to walk in it'.
Inside this patchwork throw is a layer of natural, breathable Bamboo/Cotton mix wadding. I've quilted dozens of gentle wavy lines across the quilt to create a grid which adds texture and extra cosiness.
The patchwork quilt is machine washable on a gentle cycle.
The throw measures 51" wide by 66" long (130cm x 168cm) making it an ideal size to use as a sofa or bed throw. It could also be taken into conservatory or out onto a terrace to provide colour and extra warmth as the sun sets.
Designed and made in my smoke-free, pet-free home sewing studio. I've named the quilt 'Dash, Dash, Dot' as the patchwork uses sequences of rectangles and squares that put me in mind of Morse code symbols. There is a label on the back of the quilt with it's name and other details.
