Inspired by nature and my love of patterns, this cute bud vase makes a pretty gift for any lover of handmade items.
I’ve thrown this vase on the wheel in stoneware clay. It’s a durable, versatile and unique keepsake item. With a colourful rainbow of spots, this dotty vase is a cheerful addition to any table top.
How I made it:
There are many steps to making pottery, I’ll miss a few, but essentially, once I’ve thrown the piece on the wheel & it’s hardened, I then carve the outlines of the design with a thin needle. These lines are infilled with dark underglaze before the first kiln firing. It’s then painted with the colourful spots, covered in clear glaze and fired again to a higher, stoneware temperature.

Packaging:
All items come well packaged in sturdy cardboard boxes. I only buy paper based and recyclable packaging. If your parcel contains any plastic (eg bubble wrap) it is being re-used from packaging I’ve received.
