My collection started as a child with an old button box and some vintage embroidery threads given to me by my late grandmother. Over the years I have collected many vintage and retro items (note I only cut into pieces that are too damaged or marked to be used in their original form) as well as a whole sewing room full of bits and pieces.
I decided I would use some of this collection to create curated boxes for the newly re-discovered art of slow stitching. Get yourself a cup of tea, and relax with a needle and thread.

Full description
With fragments of a beautiful hand embroidered tablecloth and a rose themed runner, this bundle of vintage linen and embellishments is a perfect starter kit for slow stitching, textile art or for an upcycling project. Ideal for beginners, or a gift for a crafting friend.
Carefully chosen to complement and enhance the different shades of threads used in the embroidery, there are over 30 items, presented in a letterbox size cardboard box. I also have a larger version - see other listings.
Each kit has a piece of calico for a foundation piece, plus an embroidery needle secured in a scrap of antique Welsh quilt.
