Traditional English Paper Piecing, or EPP, is a method that has traditionally been used in quilting and there is evidence of it being used in England as far back as the 1770s.
Each fabric hexagon is hand basted around a paper template (see photos) and then hand sewn together to create a new 'fabric'.
This pouch uses those original methods with the wonderfully vibrant, modern designs from Kaffe Fassett - a true blend of old and new.

Full description
Hand quilted fabric wrap/pouch made with bold and beautiful Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
A pouch, or wrap, to store art/craft tools and supplies, gift cards, a journal or tablet.
Fabric: 100% cotton. Inner wadding 75% recycled cotton/30% recycled polyester
Dimensions: W 9.5inches/25cm H 8 inches/21cm
To fit items up to: 9 x 7 inches / 23 x 18 cm as a pouch, or 9 x 3 inches / 23 x 8 cm when wrapped
This pouch is constructed using individual fabric hexagons, each pieced together by hand using a traditional English Paper Piecing (EPP) method. A layer of wadding and a plain pink lining fabric is added and the 'sandwich' is then hand quilted. The quilting gives the pouch structure and form, whilst still leaving it soft and flexible enough to roll into a wrap. Finally, a tie is added to secure the wrap, allowing you to use it as an 'envelope', or a wrap for smaller items. See construction photos.
