This bag was inspired by colours that warm the heart, particularly on a cold January day, when the bag was made!
There is a traditional quilting block called the 'Postage Stamp' block - small squares, hardly bigger than a postage stamp, are sewn together and then made into an entire quilt. It was the perfect way to use up every scrap of precious fabric.
I've used that design in this bag, adding some hand quilting to give it a traditional vintage feel.

Full description
Crossbody bag made using traditional patchwork and quilting methods.
The bag is created using a range of cotton printed fabrics, sewn together in a 'postage stamp' design, before being quilted using a traditional hand quilting method. A cotton lining is added, binding handstitched across the top, and then a button fastening and hand made, adjustable strap are securely sewn in place. Finally, the button hole is hand stitched.
Perfect for you phone, keys and small essentials.
