At a garden market, we purchased a small spinning garden ornament. I used the idea and shape of this to make a much larger bit of garden art.

This is truly a one off bit of garden art. Using the metal banding from our whiskey barrels to form this intresting round garden art. The item is set into a exstreamly heavy bit of solid ganit. It'll never blow over in the wind lol

Commonly asked questions?
"What's the black on the back of the wood?"
When the barrels are first made by the coopers they burn the inside of the barrels. This charing gives the whiskey its flavor.
"What are the strange notches on the wood end?"
On the end of each oak stave you might see the shape of the wood is different. These notches are cut into the wood which held onto the barrel lid
"What is a stave?"
Stave is the name given to each bit of wood used to make the barrel
