These beautiful pendants have a fascinating swirl pattern created directly in the hot kiln and it takes time to master this lovely effect. The enamel must be heated until it is just fluid enough to swirl around using the tip of a long pointed tool. Care is needed not to over do the swirling as this will ruin the piece. After swirling, the enamel is allowed to melt a little longer until smooth once more, then removed from the kiln to cool. It is not until this point that it is possible to judge if the Pendant is a success.
Each pendant is enamelled on a copper base and measures 18mm x 25mm and hangs from a 1.5mm -2mm diameter 45cm (18”) cord necklace with a silver-plated lobster clasp (with a 5cm extender chain) in a co-ordinating colour. The reverse is enamelled in a mixed colour to give strength and durability. The appearance of the enamel on the back may be considered imperfect due to part of the making process. The quality and durability of the pendant is not affected, however the price reflects the imperfection.

The Oval Swirled Enamel Pendants are supplied in a fabric gift bag in an outer card postal box for protection and sent by Royal Mail ‘Tracked’ delivery.
