My son goes through a lot of jeans and so when he was ready to 'dispose' of the ones he no longer wanted, I stepped in to rescue them. So the denim is repurposed jeans and the cotton is patchwork fat quarters.

I patchworked some denim and cotton together in different styles of bag.
The first is patchworked using denim and cotton squares. It has a zip closure and a shoulder length strap held in place with 2 lovely wooden rings.
The diamond 2" squares has a fold over zipped flap held in place with a repurposed belt. It measures 10.5" x 11" folded and 16" x 11" when extended so large enough for a tablet or notebook. It has an adjustable strap.
