I discovered a small vintage crocheted jug cover at a local jumble sale and was so impressed I got my crochet hook out found some pretty variagating yellow cotton yarn and create my own design for this cover.

A hand crocheted bowl or large jug cosy in a graduating yellow cotton yarn with added colourful glass beads.
A Beautiful and practical piece of tableware which is perfect for both inside and outside dining.
Keep your food and drink free from bugs, dust and debris with this reusable food cover. I crocheted the cover with a small crochet hook to ensure the holes in the design are small enough to stop those pesky flies and wasps. It is crocheted in a daisy flower design and the glass beads I used are crocheted in to the threads so will not detach. The glass beads not only add weight to the cover so it remains comfortably in place but they look fabulous too. The cover can also be used as a plant or vase mat.
The main body of the cover measures approx 22 cm / 8 1/2 inches in diameter and approx 27 cm / 10 3/4 inches in diameter. It will easily cover a bowl or jug measuring up to 7 1/2 inches in diameter as this will give a nice overhang to the cover.
