Full description
A bespoke lampwork glass bird necklace featuring purple and pink hues. The glass bird has been made by melting opaque and transparent glass rods (using a specialised flamework torch) onto a mandrel and then building up the layers to finally shape into a bird.
The bird has a slightly different look on either side, which is shown in the pictures.
The pendant has been added onto a handmade sterling silver headpin and comes in a gift box with a 16 inch sterling silver chain.
COE 104 glass has been used to create the lampwork bird.
The lampwork bead has been kiln annealed to relieve any internal stress that may have formed during the melting process and thus increase the overall durability and strength. However, please note that whilst the beads have been kiln annealed they are still delicate due to the nature of glass.
