Full description
A fabulous green man needle felted woollen sculpture. The green man is traditionally thought of as a symbol for rebirth and is a popular wall decoration.
Green woollen fibres have been used for the circular base and features of this green man. The fibres have been needle felted using a barbed felting needle to bind them together and sculpt them into shape. The eyebrows and moustache have been formed by wrapping wool fibres around a wire base. The pointed leaves have been cut from a piece of wet felted hand made green felt, markings added and then attached around the circumference of the base by needle felting them into position. A small brass ring has been secured to the reverse of the sculpture to facilitate hanging.
The green man measures approximately 9" (23cm) in diameter.
I would not recommend hanging this green man outside.
