Taking inspiration from the turning seasons, autumn is one of my favourite seasons because of the changing leaves. I enjoyed exploring my fabrics to find some that inspired thoughts of candles and crisp autumn walks.
I used the freehand embroidery method as it reflects the way in which I draw, I love the sketched lines effect this gives to working on fabric.

Full description
These are a set of 3 hanging decorations designed around simple leaf shapes. Using autumnal inspired fabrics to create the back and detail and added to a cotton canvas fabric and using freehand embroidery to join.
Each leaf measures 13cm in length and is 8cm at their widest point.
