My Hand-Painted Silk Scarves are 100% fine habotai dyed in colourful fabric dyes using the Salt Effect Technique. Each scarf is a totally unique because of the technique used to create it. This deceptively simple process takes time and consideration when creating a scarf. Although the salt is the means of producing the patterns as it draws up moisture and so moves and mixes the colours, the dyes have to be careful applied and placed on to the fabric with the knowledge of how they will move, in order for the final outcome to be successful giving an even, balanced look to the whole of the scarf. The scarves measure approximately 28cm x 140cm. One scarf of each colour scarf shown in the colour grid is available, so please indicate the colour you would like. The hand-painted silk scarves are gift boxed and sent by Royal Mail ‘Tracked’ delivery in a cardboard packaging box.
