A hipster take on the popular 'feed the bear' spoon - makes a great gift for someone with a beard and a big appetite! This hand stamped vintage silver plated dessertspoon has the words FEED THE BEARD in block capitals in the bowl. It's just over 18cm long, nice and heavy, with a plain 'old english' style handle engraved (I think in the 1930s) with the initials R.C.
This listing is for ONE spoon. You will receive the spoon shown in the photographs. The lettering is coloured with a non-toxic, water-based acrylic ink. Wash carefully by hand as the colour is not indestructible - the lettering, however, is stamped into the metal and should last pretty much as long as the spoon does.
Please note that this spoon is a vintage one, in fact I think it's antique, so it's a bit worn, scratched, tarnished and discoloured. Especially on the back (see fourth photo) where some of the plating has worn off. I won't be a bit offended if you head off to someone else's shop at this point - if that sort of thing bothers you then this may not be the spoon for you. This spoon has been around a bit and has character. It's a survivor. If you were looking for a mirror-finished brand new spoon, this isn't one. Just so you know.
