Astra - crescent moon decoration in mixed fabrics
Textile art hanging with embroidery.
Made from assorted fabrics with heavy machine embroidery and hand embroidery with stranded cotton embroidery on the front.
I've pieced the front from small patches of co-ordinating dressmaking fabrics that I've overlaid and then stitched over with different thread colours and stitch designs.
The back of the crescent moon is made from an offcut of furnishing fabric - a tweedy mix of magenta and ivory.
Lightly padded, Hangs from colour co-ordinated thread.
13cm wide x 16 cm tall (max dimensions)
This is a handmade item and has been assembled using hand stitching. There are little pokey out threads and fibres all over. These are NOT a fault, but part of the design I have created. You purchase this on the understanding that this is a "rustic" item - please check photos carefully to ensure you understand what to expect.
