HISTORY

The Ford Consul Capri was a pillarless coupe to the Ford Consul Classic a mid sized saloon car that was manufactured from 1961 to 1963 with initially a 1340cc replaced by a 1500cc four cylinder engine. It's styling paid homage to the American cars of the time especially the Ford Galaxie. It was one of the forgotten Ford cars as most people connect the Capri with the later successful range in the style of the Ford Mustang.

Unfortunately both the Classic and the Capri were expensive to produce and production ceased in 1963.
