My love of cycling often takes me into the Yorkshire countryside where dry stones walls and sheep are all around. It gave me great pleasure to create this piece of art from my memories of these wonderful cycling rides

Full description
A needle felt landscape - Through the Gate.
Worked using the needle felting method on a piece of reclaimed wool blanket. I started laying the wool fibres down beginning with the sky. Hills and fields added next using blended greens. These fibres were firmly needlefelted onto the wool banket. The gate and path details are needle felted onto the picture with wool carls for leaves and a bush to one side. Final touches of hand embroidery details.
The wool painting will be sent in the frame shown in the photos. This is a preused black wood box frame with a white mount. It is framed without glass. Not being behind glass ensures the full textures and details of the picture can clearly be seen and appreciated.
It is also available without the frame.
