Emerald is the birthstone for May and Taurus, but sadly, not all of us can afford Emerald jewellery!
One of the widely recognised alternatives as a birthstone is Green Onyx.
Onyx is a form of Chalcedony, and Green Onyx is the trade name for Chalcedony that has been dyed a deep, rich, emerald-green colour.
I have used a mix of black and green Onyx beads to create this pretty necklace that has a subtle glint from the faceted beads.

Full description
A classic gemstone bead necklace made from assorted green and black Onyx beads.
The black Onyx are 6mm faceted, and 2mm and 4mm smooth round beads.
The green Onyx are 4mm and 6mm smooth, with a central display of seven 6mm smooth round beads separated by 3mm AAA grade, micro-faceted, green Onyx beads, bracketed by tiny 2mm black Onyx, for a subtle sparkle.
The 6mm faceted black Onyx beads provide additional sparkle.
The necklace fastens with a Tibetan toggle clasp in the shape of a rose.
The clasp has an antique gold finish, and is nickel and lead free.
This stylish necklace measures approximately 16 inches (41cm).
Your necklace will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag.
