Full description
This piece of glass art has been created using a number of techniques. A base of intentional bubbles was created in the first fusing. The fish and shells were created by grinding glass into powder and then formed into shape using the freeze and fuse method for the second firing. The seahorse and blades of sea grass were cut, and the thin pieces of sea grass were shaped using glass stringers and a candle flame. All the pieces were then arranged onto the bubble base to create this underwater scene which underwent a third and final firing.
It is mounted and framed in a 24cm square box frame, ready to hang or lean decoratively.
