Full description
This very masculine twist pen has a barrel crafted using Bubinga wood. A beautiful dark wood with a subtle grain, its colour tone changes as you rotate the pen. Bubinga (often called African Rosewood) grows in equatorial Africa, and is often used in furniture making, which is where the wood for this pen comes from - an old table top, one of my skip-diving salvage treasures! The pen uses a Parker refill (black ink supplied), which can be replaced by unscrewing the rose-gold tip. The incredibly smooth twist mechanism is housed in the lower gunmetal section housing, and the top finial and pocket clip are also gunmetal, complimenting the wood in this very handsome pen. At 47g, this is quite a heavy pen. It is 135mm long and 15mm diamter at its widest point. The balance is very slightly biased to the top, and the Parker refill writes very smoothly.
