I have stitched garden scenes in many deifferent styles and using different techniques. This one began with some flowers snipped from printed cotton fabric and a little jar of blooms harvested from some artificial flower stems.

Full description
A profusion of pink and lilac coloured flowers decorate this pretty bookmark felt bookmark. A lover gift for a book lover!
Flowers and foliage snipped from scraps of printed cotton fabric, combined with some flower heads from stems of artificial flowers, have been appliqued to a background of sky blue felt to produce a garden border. Details have been embroidered, using a variety of threads - some of them vintage, with french knots adding to the texture of the design.
The bookmark has been completed by the addition of green satin ribbon tails. The back of the bookmark has been neatened by a additional panel of felt. The edge of the bookmark has been finished by over stitching in cotton threads, using colours corresponding to each area of the design.
Length of embroidered panel - 14 cm approx.
Total length - 20 cm approx.
