We visited California in June 2013 where we drove by several native Indian reservations and saw lots of Dreamcatchers.
This is my stained glass interpretation..
The hoop of the dream catcher represents the circle of life. It is believed to catch dreams, filtering out bad dreams and allowing good ones to pass through. Good dreams slide down the feathers (leaves in this case) and the bad dreams are forever trapped in the net.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A new design of mine in 2013, a Dreamcatcher which I based on those made by American Indians which we saw on our fantastic California trip.
The hoop is made from glass, Rainbow shades and the net from wire on which I have threaded a mixxture of coloured glass beads.
I have made 3 glass leaves, rather than feathers, out of textured clear glass and these hang from little silver chains embellished with more little beads.
The Dreamcatcher hangs from a silvery little chain which is securely fastened to the top with a soldered wire ring.
This looks simply stunning hanging in the window or against a wall and would make a lovely ornament for any room. The hoop is 13 cm in diameter and is approximately 28 cm tall excluding the hanging chain.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
I can of course make this in other colour combinations. If you prefer different colours please send me a note and I will make one for you to your choice of colour scheme.
